Withings unveils new remote patient monitoring offering

Withings Health Solutions announced today that it unveiled the Withings RPM remote patient monitoring solution.

Boston-based Withings designed its Withings RPM to place patient engagement and satisfaction at the center of the solution, taking complexities out of remote patient monitoring programs and making deployment easier for physicians and convenient, comfortable, simple and enjoyable for patients, according to a news release.

The platform has a simplified onboarding process that requires a few simple clicks, easily managed data from multiple patients with automated alerts and reminders and improved engagement with the ability to send regular communications to patients through their preferred channel of communication.

Withings also said the RPM automatically tracks activity against CPT reimbursement codes to allow for the optimization of billing processes. Clinical workflows remain unchanged as the RPM works with virtually any electronic health record (EHR) solution. It also incorporates sleep tracking and glucose measurements.

The company’s cellular-enabled devices require no setup and connect to its Withings Health app and an AI-powered digital assistant for guidance through all aspects of their program. VP of Withings Health Solutions Anoine Robiliard has relocated from the company’s Paris headquarters to lead an expanded U.S. team to deliver the Withings RPM solution.

“Since launching Withings Med Pro Care, our first remote patient monitoring solution, we have continued to assess the market to identify pain points and identify strategies to allow RPM to take off and to be finally distributed at scale,” Robiliard said in the release. “In our analysis, the missing ingredient up till now is attention to simplicity and a focus on the patient experience. Most efforts have focused on technical integration for providers, which while extremely important, is not enough for RPM to be successful. Launching an RPM program, onboarding patients, monitoring them and helping them master their health should be easy, for all stakeholders.

“Our user engagement strategies have successfully ensured billions of health measurements and millions of people to better manage their health. With our new RPM solutions, we’re very excited to bring our expertise to the industry.”
