The Dept. of Veterans affairs handed imaging contracts to Calgary Scientific and Agilex to boost its mobile and remote access to diagnostic images.
The terms of the contract were not announced, but Agilex called the deal "competitive."
Agilex plans to build on Calgary’s ResolutionMD enterprise image-viewer, giving clinicians around the country secure, on-demand access on desktop and mobile devices.
"The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has defined many of the best practices for the use of technology to improve the delivery of quality care," Calgary president and chief technology officer Pierre Lemire said in prepared remarks. "Their adoption of ResolutionMD will allow clinicians to collaborate more effectively with the assurance of using diagnostically-accredited technology throughout the diagnosis and treatment process and leverage mobility to work with other providers and patients, providing better care from anywhere."
