Vascular Dynamics raises $10m

Vascular Dynamics said it raised nearly $10 million from a group of unnamed investors for the hypertension implant it’s developing.
The Mountain View, Calif.-based startup reported raising $9.7 million in an offering of stock, warrants and other securities as part of a proposed $22.9 million funding round. Read more

Spiracur said today that it raised $16 million debt round from GE Capital for its negative-pressure wound therapy device.
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Spiracur said it plans to use the proceeds to launch new products, penetrate new care settings and for global expansion. Read more
Biolase lands $35m private placement

Dental laser maker Biolase said in landed a $35 million private placement with a group of investors that includes its chairman, CEO and top stockholders.
Biolase on Nov. 7 sold roughly 14.2 million shares at $2.39 apiece, along with warrants to purchase up to 9.2 million additional shares at an exercise price of $4 a share. The warrants expire Nov. 7, 2017. Read more
Monteris Medical raises $30m Series B round for NeuroBlate robotic brain tumor laser

Monteris Medical said a pair of new backers joined a $30 million Series B round it plans to use to expand the commercial footprint of its NeuroBlate robotic brain tumor laser.
Plymouth, Minn.-based Monteris said the round was led by new investor Birchview Capital and included another new party, The Vertical Group, and existing backer BDC Capital Healthcare Fund. Read more
