From the BBC, comes this report on a Canadian man in a vegetative state, who is able to communicate with his doctors using an MRI scanner. The research, performed at the Brain and Mind Institute of the University of Western Ontario used functional MRI (fMRI) to detect his answers to simple questions by visualizing activity the brain.
