- Unilife names Ramin Mojdeh COO
Unilife Corp. (NSDQ:UNIS) appointed Ramin Mojdeh, formerly vice president and general manager of Becton Dickinson Pharmaceutical Systems, North America, and Worldwide VP of research and development, BD Medical, as its new COO and executive VP, effective Feb. 7.
Mojdeh comes to Unilife with more than 25 years of business leadership experience across multiple industries, including 18 years in the design, development, manufacturing, sales and marketing of therapeutic and diagnostic medical devices for several multinational companies, including BD (NYSE:BD), GE Healthcare (NYSE:GE) and Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE:BSX) acquisition Guidant Corp.
- Tegra Medical expands management team with addition of as VP
Tegra Medical is pleased to announce that Jim Hillman has joined the company as VP of operations for its two Massachusetts facilities. Hillman is a strong advocate of lean manufacturing principles and brings a solid mixture of metals and plastics manufacturing experience to Tegra. He has led several ISO-registered, multi-site organizations with revenues in excess of $100 million and more than 800 employees. Hillman has managed diverse manufacturing capabilities including Swiss machining, CNC milling and turning, EDM, laser processing, metal stamping, injection molding, cleanroom assembly and packaging and contract sterilization. He has a proven managerial track record building strong organizations, meeting customer requirements and improving operating efficiencies.
- Frazier Healthcare announces growth equity team promotions
Frazier Healthcare, a provider of growth equity and venture capital to high growth and emerging healthcare companies, announced that Brian Morfitt has been promoted to Partner and Ben Magnano has been promoted to Principal, both with the firm’s growth equity team.
- Coghlin Companies appoints Matthew Haggerty as president of DCI Engineering
Coghlin Companies Inc., a privately held firm specializing in engineering design, contract manufacturing, global fulfillment and after market service solutions, announced Matthew Haggerty as the president of DCI Engineering. Prior to joining DCI Engineering, Haggerty founded and led Product Genesis, an innovation and technology product development firm that evolved from the MIT Innovation Center in 1986. - Zeiss announces organizational changes
Carl Zeiss is pleased to announce the promotion of Daniel McGee to the position of president of Carl Zeiss NTS LLC (formerly Carl Zeiss SMT Inc.). McGee joined Carl Zeiss in July of 2007 as VP of field operations for North America. During McGee’s tenure, the company has focused on building an industry best, world class customer support operation, resulting in record breaking customer satisfaction levels and historic North American market share growth. McGee has over 28 years of professional experience in the semiconductor equipment and analytical instrumentation markets. Prior to joining Carl Zeiss’ Nano Technology Systems division, McGee served as VP/general manager IBM Global Alliance at KLA-Tencor.
