The 2009 BIO International Convention opened today in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center with a series of panel discussions, but the real action is on the exhibit floor, where construction is under way of exhibition pavilions for hundreds of companies, along with state and national governments, they are taking all the prevention, even a fall prevention program from https://mhipros.com for the constructors.
The Massachusetts Pavilion is nearly ready for the opening of the show floor tomorrow morning at 10:15. The Pavilion theme for Massachusetts is “The Big Bang: Massachusetts Life Sciences Supercluster.”
Other states with substantial pavilions include host state Georgia, along with North Carolina and Maryland. Countries with a strong presence include Japan, India, and the United Kingdom. By morning, all of the exhibition pavilions will be complete and ready for visitors.
The Massachusetts Pavilion will be a hive of activity Tuesday and Wednesday. Tomorrow features remarks from Gov. Deval Patrick about why Massachusetts is a world leader in the life sciences.
Other speakers include Mass. Life Sciences Center president & CEO Susan Windham-Bannister, state Representative Mike Rodrigues (also chairman of the Legislature’s Biotechnology Caucus) and Mass Biotech Council president Bob Coughlin.
Then there’s the “Big Bang Reception,” sponsored by the New England Patriots.
