MASSDEVICE ON CALL — The long-running legal tussle between medical device industry giants Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) and Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE:EW) is slated to get a cameo from one of television’s favorite doctors, Dr. Mehmet Oz of the popular Dr. Oz Show.
A Minnesota federal judge late last week granted Edwards’ request to depose Dr. Oz for questioning in the lawsuit, which began in the summer of 2011 and concerns a handful of patents for heart valve technologies, Law360.com reported.
