Toshiba (TYO:6502) said today it will offer mobile C-arms commercially available through a partnership with Ziehm Imaging.
Through the newly inked partnership, Toshiba will offer both fixed C-arm systems from its Infinix product line and Ziehm Imaging’s mobile C-arm units, and Ziehm will be able to offer Toshiba’s fixed C-arms and other Toshiba products along with its own portfolio.
“By listening to customers, we know when mobile C-arm technology will be a good solution for their case mix and when a fixed C-arm solution is the right technology for their procedures. This agreement means we can now offer a complete solution to U.S. customers so they can deliver the best possible care to patients with no compromise,” marketing and strategic development veep Satrajit Misra said in a press release.
Mobile C-arms are used for interventional and surgical imaging setups, the companies said.

In October, Toshiba said it completed its acquisition of medical imaging application developer Olea Medical following approval from the French Ministry of Economy.
Toshiba said it will use the acquisition to grow its MRI business by offering Olea’s software for advanced post-processing and image analysis as well as its relationships and agreements with research institutions and customers
