Robert Bosch Healthcare announced a partnership with Remedy Health Media, planning to expand merge telehealth offerings with web-capabilities for remote patient monitoring systems.
Through the partnership the 2 companies will offer products that aim to improve patient compliance and provide better at-home medical management, according to a statement.
Bosch currently offers its Health Buddy and T400 remote monitoring devices to patients suffering from a variety of conditions; that technology will now include Remedy’s web systems for tablets and mobile phones.
"With an increasing number of people using their computers, tablets, and smartphones to access information about their health, we believe that a web-based telehealth solution is a ‘must have’ alternative to traditional proprietary devices for a growing number of payers, providers and patients," Bosch CMO Dr. Karen Gilberg said in prepared remarks.
The 1st telehealth product developed through this partnership is slated to hit the shelves this year, according to the release.
"Our partnership with Remedy will use web-based technology to expand the scope of our content in ways that will engage and activate a broader population of patients to actively participate in their care," Bosch president Dr. Jasper zu Putlitz said.
