
Teleflex CEO retiring from Rochester Medical board
Benson Smith, CEO of Limerick, Pa.-based surgical device maker Teleflex’s (NYSE:TFX), said he would leave the board of Rochester Medical (NSDQ:ROCM) due to " prioritization of his time,"
effective Jan. 31,
the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports.
Smith joined the Teleflex Board in 2005 and was named as chairman, president & CEO in 2011. Previously, he worked at C.R. Bard (NYSE:BCR).
Smith is also chairman of Zoll Medical Corp. board directors.
Stewartville, Minn.-based Rochester Medical named Richard Kramp as a board member of the company, succeeding Smith.
Kramp was CEO of Synovis, which was aquired by Baxter International Inc. (NYSE:BAX). Baxter in 2011 agreed to pony up $325 million for Synovis and its soft tissue repair and microsurgery portfolios.
Kramp previously was CEO of ATS Medical Inc. (NSDQ:ATSI), which was bought by Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) for $370 million.

Infraredx named Michael Guarasci as the company’s new CFO.
Guarasci will responsible for the overall financial strategy and operations for the company.
Guarasci most recently worked at Indus Capital Partners as the company’s COO, prior to which, he worked at Credit Suisse U.S. Asset Management division.
