Tegra Medical Announces New Vice President of Business Development

FRANKLIN, MA – August 13, 2012 – Tegra Medical is pleased to announce the promotion of Walter Gacek to Vice President of Business Development.

“I am delighted to have Wally join our management team,” said Rob Pietrafesa, Tegra’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “His record of success in developing new business and cultivating strong customer relationships, along with his determined focus on customer service and satisfaction will be instrumental in driving our continued growth.”

Responsible for all sales and marketing activities at Tegra, Walter has 29 years of experience in the medical device industry, with a strong working knowledge of all technical aspects of medical device contract manufacturing including metals machining and processing, plastics injection molding, device assembly, packaging and sterilization.

Prior to joining Tegra in 2009 as Business Development Manager in the Western US, Walter spent 15 years with Accellent in various technical sales and sales management roles, including Director of Business Development, where he built and led sales teams across various geographic regions. He was Manager of Technical Sales and Marketing at American Technical Molding, a medical molder acquired by Accellent, and Western Region Account Manager for Nova Chemical working in applications development of medical-grade plastic alloys. Walter began his career with American McGaw in Irvine, CA (now B. Braun) as a senior staff engineer and injection molding supervisor.
