FDA bans Oridion imports, share prices dive 40%
The FDA banned Oridion Systems Ltd. (PINK:ORDNF) from importing any medical devices into the U.S., after the Israeli med-tech maker failed to fix violations at its Jerusalem manufacturing facility.
Shares of Oridion fell 39% on news of the ban, from $11.00 to $6.65 at market opening Dec. 27.

Smiths Medical launched its CAD D-Solis variable infusion profile system for homecare pain management in France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
The CADD-Solis VIP system includes an infusion pump, medication safety software and medication cassette reservoirs that attach to the pump.

Guide Flow LLC filed a lawsuit against six other firms, accusing them of infringing its patent for a "Catheter Guidewire and Flushing Apparatus and Method of Insertion."
The Newport Beach, Calif.-based firm accused C.R. Bard Inc. (NYSE:BCR), AngioDynamics Inc. (NSDQ:ANGO), Becton, Dickinson & Co. (NYSE:BDX), Medical Components Inc., Navilyst Medical Inc. and Smiths Medical ASD Inc. of violating the patent in a suit filed in the U.S. District Court for Utah.
