Trondheim, Norway-based Vitacon landed FDA clearance for its VitaScan LT USB bladder scanner, a non-invasive scanning system for real-time bladder volume measurement that can help patients avoid needing urethral catheters.

The VitaScan LT USB bladder scanner is designed for use in hospitals, clinics, and at home, and connects to laptops and tablets via USB when measuring the bladder volume, the company said.
