The Mass. Life Sciences Center is giving away $1 million to scientists at Mass. General Hospital and the University of Mass. Medical Center to fund research.
The funding is part of the MLSC’s Cooperative Research Matching Grant Program through which the quasi-public agency provides up to $500,000 designed to accelerate research that leads to commercially viable, life-saving therapies and economic gains for the state.
The MLSC, which is charged with running the state’s 10-year, $1 billion life sciences initiative, announced that its advisory board had approved the awards this week.
