International Business Machine (NYSE:IBM) confirmed reports from last month of layoffs, but denied that the cuts affected 50% to 70% of the workforce at its Watson Health operation. Layoffs begin for Philips Healthcare at Cleveland plant

Layoffs are under way in Cleveland at a manufacturing plant run by healthcare business at Royal Philips (NYSE:PHG), with a total of 144 positions cut in February and April.
