InterValve raises $2.6 million for “working capital”
Minneapolis-based InterValve Inc. has raised $2.6 million of a $3.5 million financing round, according to company regulatory filings.
The report didn’t offer many details of the fundraising, but noted 23 buyers in a round expected to last less than a year.
Early-stage InterValve wins FDA clearance for V8 valvuloplasty balloon catheter
Minneapolis-based InterValve Inc. won FDA clearance for its V8 aortic valvuloplasty balloon catheter, which features a "figure-8" shape that helps lock the device in place in the aorta, the company announced.
The FDA okay-ed the device for stand-alone balloon aortic valvuloplasty as well as for pre-dilation during transcatheter aortic valve implantation procedures, according to a press release.

iRobot Corp. (NSDQ: IRBT), famous for their Roomba automated cleaning robots, invested $6 million and launched an extended partnership with InTouch Health, which develops telemedicine systems for providing remote health care.
The venture builds on an existing relationship that the companies announced last summer, under which the companies engaged in a development and licensing agreement.
