AngioDynamics taps Concert Medical president Donnelly as chairman

AngioDynamics (NSDQ:ANGO) said today that it tapped Concert Medical president Howard Donnelly to replace outgoing chairman Vincent Bucci.
Bucci, 1st named to the AngioDynamics board in 2007, was named chairman later that year. He stepped down in March.
HydroCision touts positive results for water-jet discectomy device

Surgical waterjet maker HydroCision touted positive results for its Hydrodiscectomy procedure published in the Internet Spine Journal, showing a 94% improvement in back and leg pain.
The HydroCision device uses a high-pressure water jet to cut and compress herniated discs during discectomy, according to a press release.

VC firms buy majority stake in HydroCision, announce new CEO

Volcano Capital, Bioventures and Omega Funds bought a majority stake in HydroCision Inc. for an unspecified amount, tapping Howard Donnelly to be the company’s new president and CEO.
Donnelly assumed the top spot at the Billerica, Mass.-based company in July, according to Forbes, after also becoming a principal in the firm. His resumé includes stints as president of Smiths Group subsidiary Level 1 Inc. and executive positions at Pfizer Inc.
