The new CEO at Wright Medical Group Inc. (NSDQ:WMGI) will make $750,000 a year in base pay and have a shot at another $750,000 in performance bonuses, according to the terms of his deal with the orthopedic device maker.

Wright tapped Robert Palmisano, 67, to be its new chief executive earlier this week. He takes over for interim president David Stevens, who had kept watch since former CEO Gary Henley resigned suddenly after a kickbacks scandal last year.

Former Medtronic CEO Hawkins’ take-home reaches $5.5 million

Williams Hawkins, the former CEO of Medtronic Inc. (NYSE:MDT), pulled down $5.5 million in salary and benefits during fiscal 2011, according to a regulatory filing.

Hawkins stands to do pretty well this year too, as his severance package includes a deal to stay on for fiscal 2012 at the same pay rate, according to the filing.

Masimo shareholders reject proxy challenge on executive pay

Masimo Corp. (NSDQ:MASI) chairman and CEO Joe Kiani can safely take his money to the bank, after shareholders rejected a challenge to the chief executive’s compensation package at the company’s annual meeting.

Shareholders voted in favor of the Irvine, Calif.-based patient monitor maker’s salary package by a 2-to-1 margin, despite the urging of a proxy advisory firm.

Dialysis maker NxStage gives CEO Burbank a raise

The Arlington, Tenn.-based maker of orthopedic devices for the foot and ankle market said in a regulatory filing that Henley resigned prior to a board meeting yesterday.

Boston Scientific: CEO Ray Elliot doubled base pay in 2010

Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE:BSX) CEO Raymond Elliott’s salary got a haircut on paper last year, dropping from about $33.5 million in 2009 to $4.9 million.*

But those figures were vastly inflated, due to about $29 million in stock option awards he received upon taking the reins at Boston Scientific. Absent those awards, Elliot’s take-home was roughly $4 million in base salary and bonuses.

Stryker CEO MacMillan: No raise, please

Stryker Corp. (NYSE: SYK ) CEO Stephen MacMillan once again deferred a pay raise in 2010 due to the “challenging business environment,” despite increasing the company’s bottom line by 15 percent last year.

The top boss at the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based orthopedic device maker earned $1.2 million in base salary for 2010, the same amount he took in home in both 2008 and 2009, according to regulatory filings.
