T2 Biosystems prepares $69M IPO for MRI-based diagnostics

Diagnostics-maker T2 Biosystems is preparing to go public in an offering that could garner as much as $69 million, according to SEC filings.
The Massachusetts-based company uses magnetic resonance technology to detect infections, eliminating the need for time-consuming blood culture work. T2 has already submitted a pair of products to the FDA for review through the agency’s de novo fast-track for novel technologies. Read more
Philips Healthcare retools, CEO DiSanzo is out

Royal Philips said today that it’s shedding a layer of management for its Philips Healthcare business after reported lower-than-expected earnings for the 2nd quarter, meaning the departure of Philips Healthcare CEO Deborah DiSanzo.
The healthcare unit will report directly to Royal Philips CEO Frans van Houten, the company said. Read more
iRadimed sets terms for $10M IPO

iRadimed today set the range for its forthcoming initial public offering at $5 to $6 per share.
Winter Springs, Fla.-based iRadimed said it plans to issue 1.75 million shares in the IPO, making the offering worth between $8.75 million and $10.5 million. Read more
