MASSDEVICE ON CALL — Medtech titan Stryker (NYSE:SYK) touted a new alliance with the PGA Tour, becoming the golf league’s official joint replacement products partner.
The alliance grants Stryker primo positioning at this year’s PGA Tour and Champions Tour events, where attendees can visit the "Stryker Mobility Zone" to learn about the company’s products.
The marketing area will feature a putting challenge, orthopedic surgeons to answer questions about joint health and replacement and golf greats Fred Funk and Hal Sutton, who have both had joints replacement with Stryker products, according to a press release.
Stryker has been making moves in sports medicine, most recently with the acquisition of Pivot Medical and its hip arthroplasty system.
