Steris (NYSE:STE) and Karl Storz have each won supply contract extensions with the U.S. Department of Defense worth over $350 million to supply the agency with integrated operating room components, accessories and services, according to a recently posted DoD release.
Ireland-based Steris won a maximum $393.8 million contract to supply the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies with integrated operating room components, systems options and accessories, upgrades, training, maintenance services and turnkey installation, according to the posting.
The contract comes through the exercising of a third one-year option period of a five-year base contract with three one-year option periods, according to the release. The contract has a performance completion date of April 24, 2020 with the location noted as Ohio.
Germany-based Karl Storz won a maximum $371.8 million contract through its Karl Storz Endoscopy-America business to supply the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies with the same devices and services, according to the DoD release.
The contract also comes through the exercising of a third one-year option period of a five-year base contract with three one-year option periods, according to the release. The contract has a performance completion date of April 24, 2020 with the location noted as California.
Last month, Steris said that it won a $48 million contract to supply the DoD with hospital equipment and accessories
