BioCision LLC appointed Hugh Douglas as COO.

The industry vet arrived at the company from business consulting firm Bridge4Bio LLC, where he was president.

The Mill Valley, Calif.-based laboratory sample management products maker said it also added Dr. Lori Kunkel, a pharma industry vet with clinical experience, and Paul Nowak, CEO of Biotix Holdings, to its advisory board.

BioCision launched more than 30 new products for handling temperature-sensitive biomedical samples in the last year and added distributors in Europe and Asia, according to the company.
