
SpineVision pulled in former Wright Medical (NSDQ:WMGI) executive Ken Yamada as its new chief of operations for its U.S. subsidiary.
The new COO worked at at Wright for 2 years as the VP of international operations and has 17 years experience at medical companies.
SpineVision also set up a new shop in Düsseldorf, Germany and promoted Danny Severens from country manager to sales manger of Northern Europe.
"Ken brings substantial skill sets to SpineVision, and we expect him to make an immediate and significant contribution in support of our business’ growth throughout North America," said CEO Arnaud Brisard in prepared remarks.
Former Stryker exec joins DJO Global
Medical device company DJO Global nabbed a former Stryker (NYSE:SYK) executive as the new president of global recovery sciences. Sharon Wolfington most recently worked as president of Stryker’s performance solutions business before joining the pain management, musculoskeletal health and vascular health device company.

PHT Corp. promoted former senior executive Steven Rosenberg to the C-suite this week, tasking the new COO with all product management for the company’s eData clinical research systems. Rosenberg formerly worked as a software VP at Oracle Corp. and Phase Forward.

Hansen Medical (NSDQ:HNSN) appointed Will Weinstein director of the board this week, bumping the number of board members up to 8.
Weinstein is a limited partner at Conifer Securities and works as a financial and investment advisor for private equity clients.
Weinstein sits on other boards in the Bay State, including for Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and the San Francisco State University Foundation.
