Ultrasound company SonoSite Inc. (NSDQ:SONO) announced that it added two new members to its executive team today.
The Bothell, Wash.-based company simultaneously appointed Jack Sparacio as chief operating officer and Matthew Damron as global chief marketing officer.
"These are critical appointments for SonoSite and most importantly, both moves are funded by organic savings," said Kevin Goodwin, SonoSite’s president & CEO. "Thus, we are adding management strength without additional operating expenses. As we move into the second half of 2011, we expect to step-up our marketing execution and also immediately improve operating efficiency as I anticipate both gentlemen will hit the ground running."
Sparacio leaves his position as president, CEO and owner of Plastic Engineering & Development Comp., where he saw sales revenue triple under his leadership. He was previously worldwide VP of sales and service at Advanced Technology Laboratories, SonoSite’s former parent company.
Damron comes from TBWA/Chiat/Day, a global communications agency, where he handled accounts for some notable industry leaders, including Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ).
