Sirona Dental (NSDQ:SIRO) CFO Simone Blank is slated in October to hand over her title to new-comer Ulrich Michel, who formerly worked as a finance chief in the commercial auto and heating/ventilation industries.
Blank worked for Sirona for 15 years, taking on the CFO title in 2005. The company did not state a reason for her departure, but she will stay on until October 14 to help smooth the transition.
Michel, her successor, joins the dental device company from previous his CFO roles at WABCO, a vehicle technology company, and at American Standard’s Trane business, a heating and ventilation maker.
"I want to sincerely thank Simone for 15 years of dedicated service and sound financial stewardship," CEO Jeffrey Slovin said in prepared remarks. "I’ve worked side by side with her for 8 years so it is no surprise to me that she leaves us in the strongest financial position in our company’s history."
