Siemens AG (NYSE:SI) and Hitachi Ltd. (NYSE:HIT) both renewed multi-million dollar deals with Uncle Sam.
Siemens Medical Solutions USA Inc. of Malvern, Penn. landed another $267 million deal from the Dept. of Defense for providing radiology systems equipment.
The year long contract extension will serve the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies, according to the DoD.
Twinsburg, Ohio-based Hitachi Medical Systems America Inc. exercised the second option year of its $12 million contract to supply radiology systems to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies, according to the DoD.
Both contracts have a completion date at the end of March 2012.
