RTI Surgical (NSDQ:RTIX) subsidiary Pioneer Surgical Technology renewed its supply contract with Zimmer (NYSE:ZMH), providing products for the orthopedic company’s trauma business.
Pioneer will continue to supply integrated plates & cables, cannulated screws and instrumentation for distribution by Zimmer’s trauma business. The 2 companies have been in league with each other for a decade, according to the press release.
“Zimmer Trauma has a long-standing tradition of serving surgeons in trauma care and we believe our products offer the best in ease-of-use and quality. We look forward to reaching more surgeons and patients with an industry-leading distributor like Zimmer,” RTI Surgical president and CEO Brian Hutchison said in prepared remarks.
Alachua, Fla.-based RTI Surgical joined forces with GPO Yankee Alliance Members, for RTI’s complete line of surgical specialties implants. The deal provides for the next 3 years and will see RTI Surgical implants at more than 14,700 of Yankee Alliance’s member institutions.
