- Revolutions Medical taps new CFO
Revolutions Medical Corp. (PINK:RMCP) named Burt Hodges to its executive leadership last week, appointing him CFO effective immediately.Hodges will take over all oversight duties for the financial functions and capital resources for the Charleston, S.C.-based company.
The announcement came days after the safety device and software maker released a preliminary prospectus for 10 million shares of its common stock.
Revolutions Medical recently hired a new COO as well, appointing Vincent Olmo to the position in April.

(NSDQ:CYNO) elected former Babson College president Brian Barefoot to fill a vacancy on the company’s board of directors, making him the fourth independent director on the seven-member board. Barefoot will serve on the company’s audit and corporate governance committees.Barefoot also serves on the board for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass., he is the director of Array Health Solutions Inc., and he is a senior advisor to Carl Marks & Co.

Medical diagnostics company Welch Allyn announced that Hisham Hout has been named senior VP for the company’s Europe and Middle East arms. Hout most recently served as VP, Middle East, Eastern Europe and Indian sub-continent at Hill-Rom Holdings Inc. (NYSE:HRC).

Quintiles Transnational Corp. appointed Dr. Cynthia Verst as global head of late phase operations, one day after completing $2.2 billion credit facility financing arrangements. Verst has 17 years of biopharma experience, and was most recently senior VP of global late phase research at Ingenix, UnitedHealth Group’s (NYSE:UNH) health information technology subsidiary.
