Private equity fund Apax Partners is reportedly looking to pick up aesthetic device maker Syneron Medical (NSDQ:ELOS) for between $350 and $400 million.
Apax representatives met with Israel-based Syneron last week, according to the Israeli financial paper Calcalist, with Barclays managing the talks. None of the companies have offered an official comment on the report.
Syneron, and its Candela brand, produce aesthetic medical equipment including body contouring, hair removal and wrinkle reduction devices.
Israeli medical and dental group Sino-Lite said today it acquired formerly Syneron Medical (NSDQ:ELOS) dental laser maker Light Instruments for an undisclosed amount.
Light Instruments develops and produces dental laser technology for hard and soft tissue treatments, including its flagship LiteTouch laser-in-handpiece non-fibre Er:YAG dental laser device, Sino-Lite said.
