Ra Medical Systems (NYSE:RMED) CEO Will McGuire this week announced his resignation from the company due to personal reasons.
The resignation will take effect on April 28. He will also resign from his position on the board of directors of the electrophysiology procedures tech company.
Ra Medical’s board of directors has established a committee for examining a transition at the CEO level. David Jenkins, executive chair of the board, will serve as interim CEO until a full-time replacement is named.

Earlier this year, Ra Medical completed a merger with Catheter Precision. As part of the deal, the combined company realigned its board of directors. Jenkins joined the board as executive chair, and James Caruso was appointed as a director. Martin Colombatto, McGuire and Susann Meline were appointed as directors. Additionally, directors Joan Stafslien and Richard Mejia resigned.
