
In addition to his appointment, Blaser will join the company’s board of directors on May 15, when it will expand from 10 to 11 members.

Blaser was most recently EVP of diagnostic products at Abbott. He oversaw the global diagnostics organization, including core laboratory, point of care, rapid diagnostics and molecular diagnostics businesses. Before that, he held varying strategic, operational and diagnostic roles at Abbott and leadership roles at the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics division of Johnson & Johnson, Eastman Kodak and General Motors.
