Through the partnership, LifeHealthcare — a subsidiary of EBOS Group Limited — serves as a distribution partner of the Proprio Paradigm system in Australia and New Zealand. Additional phases of the agreement expand distribution of the AI surgical guidance system throughout Southeast Asia.
Paradigm harnesses AI, computer vision and augmented reality to provide real-time surgical visualization and guidance. Unlike traditional systems that rely on static 2D imagery, Paradigm’s AI guidance offers real-time, data-powered insights.
Seattle-based Proprio designed the Paradigm surgical navigation platform to replace those traditional surgical navigation technologies. It uses an advanced approach to avoid pitfalls that pull attention away from the patient and disrupt workflows. The FDA cleared Paradigm a year ago and the company announced the successful first-in-human use of Paradigm in October 2023.
LifeHealthcare CEO Paul Petherbridge says Proprio’s technology “has the potential to transform the future of surgery worldwide.”
“From the very beginning, our vision has been to bring the Proprio Paradigm into operating rooms where advanced surgical solutions are needed most around the world,” said Gabriel Jones, CEO and Co-founder of Proprio. “LifeHealthcare’s extensive track record and deep relationships across Southeast Asia make them an ideal partner to help make this vision a reality. Together, we’re advancing access to transformative surgical innovations and relentlessly pursuing better outcomes for patients in need.”
