Cardiovascular Systems promotes Ward to full CEO role after interim stint
Cardiovascular Systems (NSDQ:CSII) said today it promoted its former interim CEO and chairman Scott Ward as its its new permanent head.
Ward has operated as chairman at Cardiovascular Systems since 2014, and was named interim CEO in 2015. He originally joined the board in 2013.
“As a director, Scott brings invaluable leadership and industry expertise to this organization. His knowledge of the company runs deep as does his commitment to its success. We look forward to supporting Scott in this new role,” Cardiovascular Systems governance and nominating committee chair Leslie Trigg said in prepared remarks.
“I am pleased with the progress CSI has made to improve the quality of care for patients with coronary and peripheral artery disease. However, as the leader in atherectomy, we have much more to accomplish. I look forward to continuing to serve our patients, customers and shareholders by helping CSI achieve profitability and reach its full potential,” Ward said in a press release.
