PrimeraDx named Dr. Matthew McManus as its new CEO.
Prior to taking over at the Mansfield, Mass.-based company, McManus was head of Cleveland Clinic Laboratories and COO at Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute.
According to PrimeraDx, McManus expanded the Cleveland Clinic’s reference laboratory services and brought in financing a new lab facility during his three years at the medical center. Prior to his time in Cleveland, he helped establish the External Fast Follower group as the medical scientist for the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research Drug Discovery Incubator.
The company said it’s preparing to launch its first products based on its quantitative polymerase chain reaction platform.
Interim CEO Vincent Miles said, "We are delighted to have Matthew join PrimeraDx during this exciting time in the company’s evolution," in a prepared statement.
