Polish hospitals choose Nonin’s monitoring device for 5 pediatric centers
Nonin Medical’s Equanox oxygen-monitoring device will be used in 5 pediatric hospitals in Poland: Silesian Medical University, Hospital of Krakow, University Children’s Hospital of Krakow, University Clinical Hospital 4 of Lodz and the Gynecology & Obstetrics Clinical Hospital of the Poznan Medical University.
Nonin’s device is a finger pulse monitor that measures low oxygen levels in the brain. The deal was eked out based largely on the efforts of the Great Orchestra Christmas Charity, a non-government, non-profit Polish organization that raised money to purchase this device for use in these 5 hospitals.
"We are pleased that Polish healthcare officials value accuracy and ease-of-use in selecting a cerebral and somatic oximetry system for their pediatric hospitals," Kevin McGowan, Sales VP for Nonin, said in a statement.
