
Premier Diagnostic, a medical imaging and diagnostic company, signed a letter of intent with Siemens (NYSE:SI) to distribute imaging devices in China. The agreement will provide Premier with lease financing for MRI and PET/CT equipment to open another Center for Advanced Diagnostics in the People’s Republic.
The Canadian company said it is developing 35 new centers at almost $2 million each. According to the agreement, Premier Diagnostic may lease Siemens equipment and the leasing may extend to non-Siemens products.
"Premier and Siemens have a history of cooperation, and this mutually beneficial financial arrangement means that Premier can expeditiously move forward with its goal of multiple imaging centers throughout China," said Premier CEO Denis Tusar in prepared remarks.
GPO Premier healthcare alliance shells out contract to Alere North America
Group purchasing organization Premier healthcare alliance awarded an agreement for point of care blood gas and other tests to Alere North America. Alere (NYSE:ALR) is an Orlando, Fla.-based medical diagnostics company.
In February, 2013, Alere was listed as one of the Healthcare Supply Chain Assn.’s “cost-shifting” medtech companies.
Novation signed new purchasing agreements for wound dressing, mesh pants and patient positioning products, the GPO announced.
Novation contracted with SteadMed and Milliken for wound dressings, with KCK Industries for mesh pants and fecal pads and with Sundance Enterprises for patient positioning technology that reduces pressure ulcers.
