
Liu joined the company’s executive committee as well, reporting to CEO Roy Jakobs. She succeeds Andy Ho, who retired from his post. Ho plans to work with Liu to ensure a smooth transition.

I would also like to express my deep gratitude to Andy for his exceptional leadership in delivering on our commitment to supporting China’s national health strategy and becoming a trusted partner for professional customers as well as individual consumers. At the same time as driving sustained financial and operational performance over the last nine years.”
Liu first joined Philips in 1998, holding a number of roles across the business in the two-and-a-half decades since. She spent time working in Greater China, the Netherlands and North America.
Most recently, Liu served as chief commercial officer in Greater China, following her role as head of finance for Philips in North America. The company said her track record includes driving execution and boosting performance. She also has experience developing teams and delivering value to customers and partners, the company added.
Philips said Liu aims to deliver quality care and contribute to sustainable healthcare in China. The company has an ongoing “In China, For China” strategy focused on local innovation, manufacturing, services and partnership.
