Personnel moves: New chairman for Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy subsidiary

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) subsidiary DePuy named Gary Fischetti, former president of DePuy Spine, as group chairman for its DePuy orthopedics subsidiaries (DePuy Orthopaedics, DePuy Spine, DePuy Mitek and Codman & Shurtleff).

Fischetti, who’d been president of DePuy Spine since 2005 and has 27 years with J&J, will now lead Raynham, Mass.-based DePuy and its 6,400-employees. The DePuy businesses generate sales of roughly $5.6 billion a year.

  • Calypso Medical names Edward Vertatschitsch president and CEO
    Calypso Medical Technologies Inc., a developer of real-time localization technology used for the precise tracking of tumors, today announced that it has named Edward Vertatschitsch president and CEO. Vertatschitsch first joined Calypso Medical in 2003 and served as the company’s interim CEO since July 2010.

Rauker began his intellectual property career as an associate attorney with Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly LLP, in Minneapolis from 1995-1998, was patent counsel at Boston Scientific Corp./Scimed Life Systems from 1998-2000, was Chief IP Counsel, Endoscopy at Boston Scientific Corp. from 2000-2004, and was VP, Global Chief IP and Licensing Counsel at Synthes, Inc., a $3.5 billion orthopedic company, from 2004-2009. Most recently he was Of Counsel at Conrad O’Brien PC in Philadelphia serving leading medical device companies.

  • Precision Medical Products Inc. announces executive changes
    Precision Medical Products Inc. (PMP) recently announced the retirement of two key executives and changes of responsibility in the management team. T. Jerome Holleran and George W.
