
PerkinElmer Inc. (NYSE:PKI) signed a development and marketing agreement with cancer radiotherapy device maker LinaTech Inc.
The Waltham, Mass.-based diagnostics and medical equipment giant entered into the collaboration with Sunnyvale, Calif.-based LinaTech to develop upgrades for legacy film-based radiotherapy systems and imaging subsystems for sales to radiotherapy device manufacturers. The terms of the deal were not released.
"We look forward to very compelling outcomes from our development project, as we seek to create new technologies for the benefit of cancer patients, by giving doctors and hospitals more imaging options,” said PerkinElmer medical imaging president Brian Giambattista said in prepared remarks.
