STURGEON BAY, Wisconsin — Surgical products manufacturer Parcus Medical LLC raised $1.3 million in an equity sale, according to a Securities & Exchange Commission filing.
The company, which sells surgical devices including screws, suture anchors, screw drivers and guide wires, is looking to raise a total of $2 million.
Parcus was founded in 2006 by Wisconsin native Mark Brunsvold. Brunsvold previously started three companies, including one in the medical device manufacturing business, according to the Door County Economic Development Corp.
Previously, Parcus raised $3.7 million from a total of 17 investors, according to a 2008 regulatory filing. However, $1.1 million of that came from a “non-cash” contribution of equipment, intellectual property and “other assets” from Brunsvold.
Brunsvold didn’t immediately return a call.
