The next generation of EasySuite, ES-IP is a modular, scalable, workflow-based solution. It features the Olympus digital hub and its flexibility to run current software and potential future multi-specialty applications.
“We are excited to bring the power of the Olympus Digital Hub and our digital strategy to the core of our flagship EASYSUITE System,” said Shawn LaRocco, Vice President, Global Head Customer Solutions Business Unit. “The launch of EASYSUITE™ ES-IP system represents Olympus’ commitment to delivering intelligent integrated solutions designed to improve patient care pathways and clinical operations. With an increasing reliance on IT, it’s essential that clinicians and nurses have the right data at the right time, allowing them to focus on patient care.”
Features of the new Olympus platform
The platform supports hardware expansion as well as software modules added over time. It offers an AVoIP solution for the digital OR and catheterization lab.
Features include the Olympus digital hub that powers current and potential future Olympus and third-party apps. Its scalable yet small-footprint hardware supports growing customer needs, too, while requiring less OR space. Olympus said it designed the platform as vendor-neutral and capable of integrating past, present and future devices.
Users of the Olympus platform can seamlessly integrate images and videos with the VaultStream server to many EHR vendors. It offers flexibility for multiple specialties and various types of medical procedures to help improve operational efficiencies. The platform also has 4K video routing with IP-based fiber optic video switching.
Interoperability between medical devices enables clinicians to display and capture various visual sources, including live endoscope and vitals. The platform’s IT security features Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Windows software update service capability.
EasySuite’s launch represents part of Olympus’ larger digital strategy. That included the acquisition of Odin Vision and the plan to establish a series of digital excellence centers. Olympus agreed to acquire cloud-based Odin Vision in a $79 million deal late last year.
