NxStage Medical (NSDQ:NXTM) named Robert Funari to replace Philippe Chambon as non-executive chairman after 15 years on the medical device company’s board of directors.
Lawrence, Mass.-based NxStage said Funari’s resume includes stints as chairman of Crescent Healthcare and executive roles at Beckman Coulter, Pope & Talbot, First Consulting Group and Bay Cities National Bank. He is currently a member of the RAND Healthcare Board of Advisors, according to a press release.
"We are very grateful to Philippe for his significant contributions to NxStage, commencing with our formation in 1998, and for the continued strategic guidance and valuable service he has given to the company during his time as chairman," founder & CEO Jeffrey Burbank said in prepared remarks.

New director of OMB Sylvia Mathews Burwell will replace Jeffrey Zients after the U.S. Senate confirmed her nomination on a 96-0 vote. President Barack Obama called Burwell, who will oversee the agency’s budget, programs and policies, a "key member of my economic team."
