Nuance Communications Inc. (NSDQ:NUAN) tapped the former CEO of Siemens Health Services, Janet Dillione, to be executive vice president and general manager of its healthcare business.
The Burlington, Mass.-based speech and imaging software provider is looking to increase its penetration into the healthcare provider market with its clinical documentation offerings. The speech recognition software is designed to transcribe doctors’ oral remarks into medical records. Dillione will report to Nuance chairman and CEO Paul Ricci, according to a press release.

Her resume includes the stint at Siemens, which she joined in 2000, rising to CEO of that company’s 5,500-employee health business. Dillione also put in time Shared Medical Systems, working in product management, marketing and sales management, before Siemens acquired that company in 2000.
