Novadaq co-founder Mangat tapped for CEO
Novadaq Technologies (TSE:NDQ) said Wednesday that it tapped co-founder and co-inventor of the company’s SPY imaging technology Rick Mangat as its new president and CEO, taking over for Arun Menawat who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Mangat previously served as senior veep and general manager at Novadaq.
“I look forward to the opportunity to build on Novadaq’s strong foundation. We are well-positioned to fully leverage a new clinical ecosystem that provides relevant imaging solutions for use in multiple patient care applications,” Dr. Mangat said in prepared remarks.
The company also named former CEO Bil MacKinnon as its new board chair, another position the departing Menawat held.
“It has been an honor and privilege to have worked alongside the talented and dedicated team at Novadaq for the past 13 years. I am leaving it in good hands, poised to build upon its position as a market leader in a rapidly growing field,” Menawat said in a prepared statement.
