Orthofix (NSDQ:OFIX) named David Ziegler to replace its outgoing CFO, Emily Buxton, and named CareFusion (NYSE:CFN) CFO James Hinrichs to its board of directors.
Buxton’s decade-long tenure at Orthofix is slated to end May 14, the company said. Orthofix is conducting a search for a permanent finance chief and "intends that Mr. Ziegler will serve as the Company’s principal financial and accounting officer until such search is completed," according to a regulatory filing.
Ziegler has been helping with a massive audit of the orthopedic device maker’s books, which led to a re-statement of its financials, according to the filing.
Lewisville, Texas-based Orthofix also revealed that it named CareFusion’s Hinrichs to its board, saying he will chair its audit and finance committee, little more than a month after naming former St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ) CEO Ronald Matricaria as chairman.
