Dr. Robert Wah was named president-elect of the American Medical Assn., the nation’s largest network of physicians. Wah, who served on the AMA board from 2011 to 2012, will be officially sworn in as president after a year as president-elect.
The AMA’s new top dog comes from a background as a reproductive endocrinologist and ob-gyn in Washington, following 23 years as a captain in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps.
Newly created position of COO at Medical Action Industries
Medical Action Industries (NSDQ:MDCI) board member Paul Chapman will take over some of the chief executive responsibilities with his new role as president and the newly minted position of COO. Company CEO Paul Meringolo shed his role as president, which will be assumed by Chapman.
