MassDevice.com looked at some of the most talked-about medical device companies, based on trends in U.S. Google searches for the last 30 days.
The hierarchy was undisturbed in February, with Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) still at number 1 with a raft of stories about the company’s earnings, R&D and regulatory advances, legal updates and more. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) again came in 2nd thanks to stories about the company’s ongoing pelvic mesh liability lawsuit.
Covidien (NYSE:COV) followed with articles about the close of its acquisition of Given Imaging, an FDA win and a distribution deal with Masimo (NSDQ:MASI).
Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) remained at 4th place with just a few stories about renewed shrinkage concerns for the company’s stents as well as its end-of-year earnings. St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ) rounded out the list by stealing market share from its rivals and issuing a warning letter for some of its older pacemakers.
