Endosense names new CFO
Endosense named Nicolas Marsault as the company’s new CFO. He has replaced Endosense’s previous CFO Andrea Buscaglia.
The Cather ablation technology maker won CE Mark approval in the European Union for its 3rd-generation TactiCath Quartz in June. Marsault will focus on expanding the commercial presence of the device and planning to launch the product in the U.S.
“We welcome Nicolas to our team at a pivotal time of growth for the company,” Endosense president, CEO and chairman Jan Keltjens said in prepared remarks. “With his strong background in both finance and science, we expect him to play a critical role in the expansion of our business worldwide.”
Pior to Endosense, Marsault worked at Merck Serono, Saint Gobain, and Péchiney, which was acquired by Alcan in 2003.
The appointment followed the company’s announcement of closing a $40.3 million Series C funding round on late November.
Endologix CFO retires
Endologix CFO Robert Krist will retire from the company, effective on the date he completes the transition to his successor.
Krist joined the company in 2004 as CFO. Officials said Krist might be a consultant for the company in the future. The Endologix’s board of directors is searching for a new CFO.

Align Technology (NSDQ:ALGN) named Greg Morrow VP and general manager of invisalign business. Mack will responsible for the clear aligner and scanner and CAD/CAM services product line.
Former Varian president joins the board of parent company of Kinetic & LifeCell
The parent company of Kinetic Concepts and LifeCell Corp. has added Timothy Guertin to its board of directors.
Guertin was the former president & CEO of Varian Medical (NYSE:VAR) , prior to which, he was president of Varian’s Oncology Systems business. Guertin is also a member of the board of directors of Varian Medical Systems and Teradyne, as well as on the board of the Radiation Oncology Institute.

EOS imaging names chairmen of its board
EOS imaging named Michael Dormer as chairman of the board of directors.
Dormer joined the EOS Board earlier this year, prior to which, he was the chairman of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) medical devices & diagnostics divisionand president of DePuy. He is also on the executive committee of AdvaMed.
