Endologix (NSDQ:ELGX) said it won CE Mark approval in the European Union for a medical device designed to seal abdominal aortic aneurysms.
The Irvine, Calif.-based firm said EuroZone regulators OK’d the latest version of its Nellix system.
But the nod doesn’t mean the device will hit shelves across the pond anytime soon, according to a press release.
"Endologix is currently implementing a few enhancements to the Nellix system intended to further optimize the device for commercialization. When complete, the company will submit these enhancements to its notified body, with expectations of gaining CE Mark approval for the commercial version of the device and beginning a limited market introduction of the enhanced system in Europe by the end of the second quarter 2013," according to the release.
