
Minnesota-based orthotics company Rotation Medical appointed Martha Shadan as the new president & CEO.
Shadan hails from device giants like Zimmer (NYSE:ZMH) and Covidien (NYSE:COV), where she worked executive-level jobs in marketing and commercialization.
She replaces Tom Westling, who founded the company in 2009 and has now moved over as board chairman and operations chief.
UPI makes interim CEO’s gig official
Uroplasty (NSDQ:UPI) made things official with interim CEO Robert Kill, formally handing Kill the corner office. Chairman James Stauner said the board asked Kill to stick around as the permanent chief executive because of his experience as chief at Virtual Radiologic Corp. and partner at private equity firm Altamont Capital.

OrthoSensor brought 2 VPs onto its executive team, each with more than 20 years of industry experience. Douglas Leach, a former Stryker (NYSE:SYK) exec, was named OrthoSensor’s VP of marketing & product development. The company’s new senior VP of global sales, Rich McKillop, was formerly a senior executive at Conmed/Linvatech and Wright Medical.

Biolase (NSDQ:BLTI) named Orlando Rodrigues the new VP of marketing, touting his past success using guerrilla marketing campaigns at I-Flow Corp. During his 8 year tenure at I-Flow, revenues grew 5-fold. Rodrigues also worked in marketing at Laser Diagnostic Technologies and Allergan (NYSE:AGN).
